From rattled to rooted
About
My path to the training room was not a straight line — and that is exactly what makes me useful in it.
I started as a graphic designer. Seven years of learning what appeals to people, and why perception matters more than we admit.
Then eleven years as a mother — teaching my own child, sitting with his exams and his worries, learning how a person actually absorbs something when they're frightened of getting it wrong.
In my forties I found the training room. First as an English language facilitator, then as a corporate and campus trainer. It turned out the thing I'd been doing informally my whole life had a name.
In 2023, life took a turn I didn't choose. What carried me through wasn't toughness — it was learning to value myself again. And somewhere in that process I realised the thing I was relearning was exactly what every nervous student and quiet professional I'd ever taught actually needed. Not better vocabulary. Self-belief.

What I stand on
Gratitude, and the conviction that what goes around comes around. If we are grateful and sincere in what we do, we prosper. It shapes how I run a room and how I treat the people in it.
