Privacy Policy
Last updated: To be set on publication
This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, who it is shared with, and what you can do about it. It is written to describe how the site genuinely behaves rather than to cover every hypothetical.
Who is responsible for your data
Prachee Gupta (Quiet Authority), trading as Prachee Gupta, decides how and why your personal data is used. For any question or request, write to care@quietauthority.in.
What we collect
We only collect what you type in. There is no tracking on this site.
- Enquiry forms: your name, email address, phone number, organisation if you give one, and whatever you write in the message.
- Booking a call: the details you enter into the embedded Calendly calendar, which are handled by Calendly.
- Book purchase: your name, email address and phone number, which are passed to Razorpay with the order so your receipt and records match.
- Newsletter signup: your name and email address.
- Payment details: entered directly on Razorpay's checkout. Card numbers never reach this website and are never stored by us.
- Server logs: your IP address and basic request information, kept briefly for security and to limit abuse.
What we do not do
- We set no cookies of our own. The only cookies you may encounter come from the embedded Calendly calendar or the Razorpay checkout, on those two pages, or from YouTube on the home and Testimonials pages. The video testimonials there play silent previews, which load from YouTube once they come into view — so if you never reach that part of the page, YouTube is not contacted at all.
- We run no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts — there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording.
- Fonts are served from this site itself, so loading a page sends nothing to a font provider.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Ever.
- We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible programme.
- To take payment for the book, deliver it, and keep a record of the sale.
- To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse of the payment and download routes.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
The legal basis
Where you contact us or buy something, we use your data because it is necessary to respond to you or to perform the contract. Where you subscribe to the newsletter, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Where we keep records for tax or accounting, we rely on our legal obligations. Security logging rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.
Who else sees it
Third-party scripts are kept to the pages that need them. The Razorpay checkout script loads only on the checkout page, the Calendly booking widget only on the booking page, and the YouTube testimonial videos only on the home and Testimonials pages — and there, only once they come into view. None of these is present anywhere else on the site.
- Razorpay — our payment processor. They receive your name, email, phone and payment details in order to take the payment, and handle that data under their own privacy policy.
- Calendly — the scheduling tool embedded on our booking page. If you book a call, the name, email and any answers you give go to Calendly under their own privacy policy. Calendly sets its own cookies inside that embedded calendar.
- Our hosting provider — which necessarily processes requests to the site, including IP addresses.
- Our email provider — where we reply to you or send a newsletter you asked for.
- Google — enquiries and book orders are copied into a private Google Sheet we use to keep track of them. The spreadsheet is not public and is visible only to us. Google processes that data under their own terms.
- YouTube (also Google) — the video testimonials on the home and Testimonials pages. They are loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, Google's privacy-enhanced embed, when they come into view; YouTube will see that request. If they never come into view, nothing is sent at all.
- Professional advisers or authorities — only where we are legally required to disclose something.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we actually need it for the purpose it was given, and for as long as Indian law requires records of that kind to be retained — which mainly applies to purchase, tax and accounting records.
Enquiries are kept while we are in conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Download links
The link that delivers your book carries a signed token containing only a payment reference and an expiry time. It holds no personal data. It stops working 24 hours after purchase, and anyone you forward it to could use it in that window — so please treat it as private.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time, and every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the relevant data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email care@quietauthority.in and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment credentials are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach our server. Paid material is stored outside the public web root and released only against a signed, expiring token. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and design accordingly.
Children
This site is intended for adults and for professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
